Video Analysis - Simian Mobile Disco

This video was directed by Romain Gavras (who also directed 'A cross the universe' and 'Stress' for Justice) for Simian Mobile Disco's song 'I believe'. The video features an east-European-looking farming family. much of the video seems to parody typical hip-hop music video conventions. For example the shots of one of an adolescent and his friends sitting on an old beat-up car. I really like the stylization of this video and the cinematography used. Much of the cinematography used is conventional to documentaries. it creates an interesting and quirky atmosphere.
